Smorgasburg

The adventure to Smorgasburg  was dreary and drizzly, but Chad, Julio, Jamie and I had some delicious food in Prospect Park which made it a little brighter. Smorgasburg happens weekly throughout the warmer months in Prospect Park on Sundays. It started in Williamsburg and still happens there every Sunday.

Prospect Park’s Smorgasburg is super easy to get to. Especially because of the Q (which I am obsessed with), we took the Q from the Upper East Side all the way to Prospect Park. From there it was just a little bit into the park and suddenly delicious smells were all around us.  It’s a great event to go to if you are just in the city for a little bit or if you live here! There area also a bunch of families and doggies if you like that.

I have to admit, all the different lemonades and juices kept catching my eye and I tried a few different ones…oops. But, my favorite by far was the mango orange guava one. Delicious and very sweet 🙂

Aside from Smorgasburg, the park itself is beautiful to walk around. It’s a great option for a quick trip to Brooklyn and an excuse for yummy food, some exercise and nature.

Hi friends! Happy Friday! This entire week has felt like a bunch of Mondays in a a row. When I woke up this morning I noticed it felt like I had slept in but I hadn’t hear my alarm go off so I looked at my phone and it had died so I had overslept by 2 hours. Then I realized that I hadn’t plugged in my computer all the way last night so I had 3% battery and a day full of use ahead of me. But, I was able to charge my phone, get ready and make it to class in time and my dear friend Elissa brought me a Cascara Latte (shoutout to sorority sisters <3 ). So, two cups of coffee later and some juice in my computer, I have hit the day full on, but I am very much so ready for the weekend.

I have to say, I haven’t had much luck with the off-the-shoulder look. I love it, but I get so annoyed with the constant adjusting. Maybe I’m just not graceful enough. That’s why I love this specific floral Tobi dress…but they only have a few smalls left so get it while you can! It’s only $10! If you like this print and look I’ve linked a few similar ones below, but none that I like quite as much as this one 🙁

Enjoy your weekend, you deserve to relax! <3

Red Summer Dress

Crunch time is here at Stephens College… Between the fashion show coming up, Easter, projects, Greek Week and preparing for summer, life is crazy. But, at the same time there’s also just a few more weeks left before the end of the school year, so it’s doable.

Brianna Knopf and I shot some looks a few weeks ago and this red Moon River dress  was one of them.  I bought this piece a few weeks back and it’s so different for me. I usually don’t wear things that are so voluminous on the bottom half, but I love all of the layers to this dress! Plus, the little tie detail at the neck is so fun. It also has so many colors in it that it’s so easy to style. I went ahead and paired this dress with my Barbas and Zacari watch (THATGIRLCRAIG for 20% off), my bangles, and then pink sunnies with a suede nude lace up pair of shoes.

Stay tuned for more posts and don’t forget to “like” and “share” on Pinterest and Facebook, and follow me on Instagram @thatgirlcraig.

White Lacy Top: Business or Casual? Depends on the day, right? I’ve been really feeling this white top (linked below) for interviews recently, it gets me from interview to interview, pairing with pants, jeans or skirts. I always feel classy and put together when I’m wearing it. It’s also flowy and flattering which is perfect for days when I’m running around and need to be able to move easily but still wanting to show that I have a figure.

In addition, these mules. Oh. My. Gosh. I found these suede Vince Camuto mules (similar linked below) a few weeks ago and absolutely love them. They’re chic but also casual – my favorite mixture. I’ve been wearing them all over Columbia, Missouri and New York City!

This past week has been my spring break and instead of chilling on a beach I’ve been running around New York City in the rain. But, to me, that’s a great spring break…especially because I got to catch up with friends and spend time with my amazing uncles. I never realized how exhausting interviewing is. You have to think about every word you said, but still be yourself. Nevertheless, I’ve really enjoyed meeting so many different people. It’s strange to think in a few short weeks I will officially have an internship and be yet another step closer to graduation!

What interview tips do you have? I think it’s important to pay attention to how well the interviewer and you mesh, do you agree?
